Mario Karam's passion for his food stems from an essence that behind every dish created lies a story. Growing up in a traditional Lebanese household within the suburbs of Sydney, Mario's childhood memories conjure up colourful images of fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables being grown and picked from the family garden by his mentor, his father. Food was always a journey; from the backyard veggie patch, to the expert hands of his beloved mother and Mario's watchful eyes, to the family dinner table where gatherings were filled with laughter, love, and satisfied tummies. Every homemade meal had a personal touch to it from everyone in the family. And today, Mario's Kitchen delivers a little taste of those colourful memories to each dish for everyone to enjoy.
